Goldendoodles come in a variety of sizes. To make matters even more confusing, not everyone is on the same page with how they refer to sizes.

We follow the Goldendoodle Association of North America guidelines for labeling our goldendoodles. The following information is pulled from the GANA website.

Goldendoodle

Sizes

  • 25 pounds or less with height below 14 inches

  • 26-35 pounds with a height between 14-17 inches

  • 36-50 pounds with a height between 17-21 inches

  • 51 or more pounds with a height over 21 inches

Final size category of a dog will be determined at adulthood and is measured at the withers. Please be aware that the estimated size of a puppy by a breeder is an educated guess; therefore, a puppy’s final size may vary somewhat from a breeder’s initial calculation.

Genetic testing, such as from Embark, will provide you with an estimated adult weight which will generally be more accurate for a specific puppy. However, this is also an educated guess and a reasonable margin of error is expected.

We can not make any guarantee of the adult size of your puppy. We give you the best information we have based on our experience, but the final result is due to factors beyond our control. Environmental factors such as diet and activity level can influence weight.
