Policies & Pricing

Please familiarize yourself with this information before reaching out to us about an available puppy. Thank you!

  1. Make sure you are ready for a dog! We have worked with a number of people who spend a lot of time communicating with us only to decide they actually don’t want a puppy now. Please think through whether you and your family are ready for a dog before you contact us. If you are wanting to get on our waitlist for a future litter, or you are exploring options about the possibility of getting a dog, we are happy to work with you. However, it is not reasonable for us to spend hours helping you choose a puppy or working out transportation options if you haven’t actually decided that getting a puppy is the right choice for you. Please be respectful of our time and do some basic homework before messaging us.

  2. Pick a size: Goldendoodles come in a variety of sizes. Decide how big or small you want your dog to be and look at current or planned litters with a momma dog of that size. See sizing information HERE.

  3. Fill out an application: The first step to getting your new puppy is to fill out a short application HERE. These questions help us know what kind of dog you are looking for and what information will benefit you the most. Be sure to tell us if you are interested in a particular litter (current or planned for the future).

  4. Pay a deposit: We require a $400 reservation fee to hold your place in line to choose your puppy (if you’re on the waitlist) or hold the puppy you picked until adoption day. This amount is subtracted from the total price. If the puppy you want is not available when it is your turn to choose, you may opt to transfer to a higher position on a future litter, or you may request a refund. Once puppies are chosen at 5-6 weeks, refunds are no longer granted. This is the ideal time to find the best homes for our puppies and we need to work with people who are committed.

  5. Wait for your puppy: Puppy wait times can not be predicted with much accuracy. It depends on what you are looking for, how particular your choice is, when our dogs come into season, and what puppies are born in any given litter. Most of this, we have no control over. If you’re not ready to commit with a deposit yet, but you still want to be kept up to date on your options, please sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page. We will send puppy birth announcements straight to your inbox so you don’t miss the litter you are interested in. Also, follow us on Facebook, for the most current information on our puppies. While you are waiting, start gathering necessary supplies for your puppy (see our list of recommendations) and find a vet and groomer you want to work with.

  6. Choose your puppy: Puppy selection day will usually take place around the 6-week old mark after they have their health check at the vet. If you are on the waitlist, you will have plenty of pictures and videos ahead of time. If you are having trouble deciding between a couple of puppies, we can do a video chat with you.

  7. Pick up your puppy: Puppies are ready for their new homes around 8 weeks after birth. By then, they will be on solid kibble food, been checked out by our vet, received their first round of vaccinations, and begun foundational crate and potty training. The health and safety of our puppies is our top priority. If, for any reason, we feel a puppy is not ready to go home at 8 weeks old, we will keep the puppy with us a little longer. So far, this has not happened. We will schedule a time and date to pick up your puppy. Each family is given an hour with us to meet your new puppy, go over the paperwork, and ask any questions you have. The remainder of your payment is due before you leave our property with your puppy. Payments are easy on the GoodDog via their app.

  8. Enjoy your puppy! Now is the time you have been waiting for. If you have not raised a puppy before, you may have a lot of questions. We are available any time to assist you throughout the life of your dog. We do not want to pester you and we will leave you alone if you desire, but you are always welcome to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. As per your contract, your puppy will need to visit the vet within 4 days of coming home with you. It is important to make sure your puppy gets all the recommended vaccines for your area according to your local vet’s direction. Also, you should spay or neuter your puppy at an appropriate time. Our puppies are intended to be pets only. Additional contracts and fees are required to use any of our dogs as breeding stock.

  9. Keep us updated: We love to get pup-dates from our previous litters. Each and every puppy has a special place in our hearts. I won’t beg you for pictures and updates, but just know that you make my day when you send pictures of your puppies all grown up. It fills my heart! We like to share pup-dates on social media as well, but will not do so without your permission.

  10. Get support: We are eager to help you and your puppy enjoy your life together. However, occasionally, a puppy doesn’t turn out to be a good fit or life happens and a family can no longer care for their dog. Should that happen, we invite you to reach out to us for help rehoming your dog. We do not want any of these precious animals to wind up unwanted or in shelters. We feel responsible for every life we help create. When we say you get “lifetime support” with your new puppy, we mean it. It’s not a marketing tactic. It’s what we do.

Pricing

Our puppies start at $2400 regardless of size, gender or color. The value of our puppies is the time, money, and effort we have poured in making sure these puppies are as healthy as possible.

We spend thousands of dollars per dog before we ever breed them. We purchase high quality, well-bred animals with breeding rights which usually incur additional fees. Then each dog undergoes vigorous health testing to get genetic and OFA clearances. Add to that food, regular vet care, and other dog essentials, and you can see how providing your family with a healthy puppy is an investment of time, money, and love from our family.

Genetics, pregnancy care, and the first 8 weeks of a puppy’s life are very foundational to the health and temperament of that dog as an adult. Our puppies are loved and cared for before they are even born.

PRICING VARIATIONS

  • Petite & Minis: Our petite and mini goldendoodles are $2800. They are higher priced because it takes more generations to get smaller dogs.

  • Waitlist:

  • We reserve the right to change the price of our puppies at any time. Often, this means we will offer discounts

  • Referral program: We have a generous referral program. If you refer a friend or family member who

  • Discounts: We have several discounts available. Please inquire if you think one of these applies to you.

    OLDER PUPPIES

Rarely, we may have an older puppy or dog available that already has some training completed. The advantage of adopting an older pup is that many of the hassles of puppyhood are already outgrown. For example, they will likely be housebroken & vaccinated. They may have learned a few commands or been introduced to leash walking. If old enough, they will even be spayed or neutered. If you are interested in such a dog, please reach out to us and let us know. The pricing will be determined based on the investment of time spent training the dog. These opportunities are rare and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Purchase Agreement & Health Warranty

Thank you for deciding to purchase one of our puppies. We want to make this a stress-free and enjoyable experience for you. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. This contract is written for the protection of both the breeder and the buyer as well as to protect the general health and well being of the puppy.

Purchase Agreement

Please read the health warranty completely before reserving or making a full payment for your puppy. By paying the reservation fee or full payment, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of this contract.

We require a $400 reservation fee prior to puppy selection. Adoption day will be a minimum of 8 weeks after the puppies’ birth. If we believe it is in the best interest of the puppy to stay with us a little longer, we will notify you. We can hold the puppy with full payment for up to 7 days beyond adoption day, then puppy boarding is available for $25 per day.

The reservation fee is refundable. If the puppy you want is no longer available when it is your turn to choose, you may apply the reservation fee towards a different puppy or for a future litter. If a buyer decides not to get a puppy after making a full payment, for any reason, even within 24 hours of making the payment, only half of the payment may be refunded.

Please be certain that you are ready for the time commitment and financial responsibility of owning a puppy prior to paying a deposit.

Health warranty

Seller's Responsibility:

1. Healthy puppy: GSG warranties the puppy is in good health, is current on vaccines, and has been dewormed at the time the buyer takes possession. The buyer has four business days to take the puppy to a veterinarian for an examination. If the puppy is found to be in poor health (as described below), the buyer has the option of returning the puppy to the seller, at buyer’s cost if shipping is required, for a full refund. If you wish to keep the puppy, you may choose a replacement puppy if one is available or be refunded 50% of the total purchase price. The buyer will provide a written statement from a licensed veterinarian clearly stating defect or illness. If the puppy is not taken to a licensed veterinarian within the four business days, the health warranty is void.

2. 2-Year Health warranty: GSG provides this warranty for two years after the puppy’s birthday against any debilitating genetic or congenital defects. This is defined as a genetic or congenital abnormality or disorder that will eventually cause early death with a life expectancy of less than 5 years where the disease would progress making euthanasia necessary or require extensive medical care that would ultimately be beyond the cost of the puppy.

3. What’s not covered: This warranty does not include viral illnesses, infections, improper bites, hernias, hypoglycemia, Guardia or Coccidiosis. It does not include any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals or physical injury. It does not include minor health such as kennel cough, allergies, fleas/ticks, ear infections/ear mites, internal or external parasites. These are common puppy health issues and are easily treated with medications. Puppies are very prone to these issues, because their immune system is not fully developed.

We cannot warranty our puppies against illness or opportunistic parasites brought on by stress such as moving (from our house to yours) or shipping. We also can't guarantee that our puppies will be "worm-free", as this is an ongoing process. However, these are easily and economically treated and should be discussed with your veterinarian at your first visit. The buyer is encouraged to get a fecal test done at the vet. Some puppies do not show any symptoms of internal parasites, even if they have them.

4. In the event the puppy exhibits symptoms of a suspected debilitating genetic or congenital defect, the buyer must supply any requested veterinary records to the seller within seven days of informing the seller of the vet’s prognosis. GSG has the right to require a second opinion from a veterinarian of the seller’s choice at the seller’s expense. If the puppy is euthanized or in any way disposed of, without a second opinion from the seller’s veterinarian, the buyer waives all rights to a replacement puppy.

5. If your puppy is determined to have a genetic or congenital defect within the first two years of life, we will either replace your puppy with a puppy from a similar litter or refund the purchase price (less any shipping or veterinarian fees incurred). Your puppy need not be returned to us provided there is documented support of medical condition. Shipping fees will not be refunded, and if it becomes necessary to ship a replacement puppy, those fees are to be paid by the buyer.

6. If the puppy should die from a suspected genetic or congenital defect within 24 months of its birth date, an autopsy must be performed at the buyer’s expense by a licensed veterinarian acceptable to the seller’s own veterinarian. If the autopsy shows a genetic or congenital defect as the cause of death, the seller will provide another puppy of equal value to the buyer. A written statement from the veterinarian must be provided. This warranty is void in the event of an undetermined or inconclusive diagnosis.

7. The breeder is not responsible for any vet bills after the puppy leaves the breeder's premises.

8. No warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made under this contract except as stated. This warranty is non-transferable.

Buyer's Responsibility:

1. The buyer agrees to pay GSG a total sum of $ ______________. This fee does not include shipping or transportation, if either is required. The buyer bears all costs relating to the sale of the above animal.

2. The risk of loss or injury to the above animal is on the buyer at all times after the dog leaves the seller.

3. The buyer agrees to take the puppy to a licensed vet within four business days of purchase for an examination.

If within four days of purchase, the vet identifies a major genetic or congenital health issue, the breeder will offer a full refund or replacement of the puppy, provided that the puppy has not been injured or neglected. Some examples of major issues include: heart murmur, luxating patella, or any other issue where a puppy might require at least one overnight hospital stay or surgery. The veterinarian must provide a written statement documenting the health issue.

4. This puppy is being sold as a pet only and is not to be used for breeding. The buyer shall spay or neuter the dog at the time deemed most appropriate by your veterinarian.

5. We advise the buyer to make and keep annual veterinary appointments for their goldendoodle, keep all immunizations current according to the guidelines of the American Veterinary Medical Association and properly administer heartworm preventative medication. Please do not take your puppy to high-traffic areas such as dog parks, pet stores (you can carry your puppy at the pet store), busy parks or busy streets until they have completed the entire vaccination schedule at approximately 14-17 weeks old.

6. The buyer agrees to contact GSG immediately if the buyer determines they are unable to keep their goldendoodle for any reason. We will determine how the dog will be rehomed. The buyer agrees to never place the goldendoodle in a shelter, pound, or similar facility or a research laboratory. Our desire is for you to love this special puppy as much as we have. If your circumstances change and you are unable to care for the dog please return him/her to us. We will provide or find a loving home for the animal we are responsible for bringing into this world.
